Adam Avra
Accounts Payable
Adam earned his degree in finance from UALR in 2004 and is currently working on his CPA. Today’s is his first “real world office job” and he is enjoying the experience. Adam is in charge of accounts payable, account research, insurance and operations payroll. He also does a bit of human resources verification. “My work at Today’s is giving me a good feel for how a small business is run.” Adam put himself through school waiting tables and talks about how the skills he developed as a waiter have translated to the business world. “After taking hundreds of orders, I feel I can talk to anyone about anything. I see myself as more of a personable accountant than the stereotype suggests. Even though I work with numbers, you would be surprised how all my projects lead back to people.”
Personal Snapshot: Adam loves the outdoors, particularly camping and fishing. He enjoys sporting events. His girlfriend makes sure he knows all the newest places to go and things to do around Little Rock, where good food and wine are on the menu.
